Being out there on the street, wearing and talking LA Gear with so many fans from every generation, it’s not unusual for us to hear the phrase “PLEASE bring back the MJs!”
On this magazine alone, you can see comment after comment expressing the same sentiment.
The impact of Michael Jackson on global popular culture is more evident than ever before. His passing has underscored a love and admiration that spanned his 50 years on this planet – and will clearly carry on for eons to come.
We have just come across a petition to bring the Michael Jackson shoe collection back, and we can’t say we’re surprised. It’s on a blog called ThePetitionSite.com, and as you can see from other petitions on the site, it’s a pretty powerful tool.
We’ll keep our eye on this one, and keep yallz updated on developments at LA Gear. Something tells us this won’t be the only petition that pops up in support of a shoe revival from the King of Pop!

You really should bring the MJ shoes back! They would make tons of money!!
L.A Gear HAS to bring back the MJs (if thats what there really called? lol i myself wouldve RE-named them as The Moonwalk Edition hahaha!) Ever since i was kid? I only ever remembering 2 other kids back in maybe 87-88 rockin L.A Gearz and F#%K were they the stylish Kicks id ever seen. I wanted a Pair but could nvr afford them lol, i dont think they were actually released in Nz back in the late 80s-early 90s? But since 01-02? they’ve popped up in lower-class shopz/markets etc lol. Back to the MJ episode tho, i NVR knew he was endorsed by L.A Gear and since i saw the Poster on Google Image of him (after his Death) in those BlackNWhites? (And THAT was a coool promotional Poster might i ad) I sooooooooooo wanted a pair. Thought i could find a Pair? But couldnt… PLEASE RE-release these Kicks PLEEEEEEEEEEASE

I owned the black ones and loved them so much until my car was stolen and with it my L.A. Gears… the police found my car a few days later – but my Michael Jackson L.A. Gears had gone forever! Even today I hope that the person who took them away is not able to walk in MY shoes!
